I'm leaving today at 12:40pm and I won't be back to the site until either monday or tuesday.[/blockquote]
Reason being I am performing at the Memorial Cup tonight. For any of you who don't know what that is, since many of you live in the USofA; the Memorial Cup is part of OHL(Ontario Hockey League) playoffs. The team from my hometown (the rangers) are playing a team from quebec supposedly, which makes me wonder how in Gods name its OHL if it involves a team from a different province... Anyway, this is really exciting for my drum corps and I because we didn't ask to perform there, we were asked. Which means we're starting to get the word out better. Another good thing about this is the Memorial Cup is broadcasted on National Television. (Yes, I'm bloody nervous) The only bad thing about this is that my section of the corps (the colour guard) doesn't get to stand on the carpets on the ice, we have to stand on some cleats, which means one or more of us may or may not fall... Therefore, if you wind up watching it somehow, and you see someone fall, assume it was me, I'll be spinning a red flag, with a red headband in my hair, but, then again, so will the rest of the guard. Allie's probably the only one that would have a chance at picking me out, but... by all means, make guesses if you wish.
I don't think any of you are asking yourselves "But if the Memorial Cup is today, why will Tiff be gone until Monday, possibly Tuesday?" But I'm going to answer that anyways just so I can say I'm covering all my bases. After the performance tonight, I'm getting on a bus and driving about an hour and a half out of town to a place called Goderich. There dutch boy having the first in a series of 'death camps'. What this means is that we will be practicing longer than normal hours (normal is 12/day, death camp is probably 15), having less time for meal breaks, and undoubtedly, be pushed to work harder than usual. Also, this is Victoria Day weekend, a stajutory holiday in Canada, and we're practicing through half of that day too. So, I'll be practicing Firday evening, Saturday, Sunday, and most of Monday. Then I have to lug my stuff over to my dads to have dinner with him, because I was supposed to spend this weekend with him originally, and then I am supposed to go to the movies to see the second Narnia (which actually comes out today).
Wow... That was a bit more than a mouthful. If you're still reading this, thank you for taking the time to actually read it...You're my hero's guys. This site would die without all of you. Don't be afraid to ask questions while I'm gone, the rest of the staff is more than capable. Allie, if you think anything should be done, but you don't think I'll agree, just do it. I'm sure I can live with whatever havoc goes down in one weekend. This is kind of like a test run for the summer for me... I'm going to like, die.
