BEAUTY
Hair Color: A dark chocolate colour, that can appear to have streaks of different brown hues in it in the sunlight. Eye Color: Crystal blue Overall Appearance: Laney is a little vertically challenged, only standing at 5'3" on her best day. She appears slender and lean, her build often mistaken as lanky and skinny; however, on closer inspection, one would find that Laney does have some muscle, and she is as fit as physically possible. She is no where as fashion conscious as some girls around her, but Laney does take pride in her appearance, always clad in what she feels comfortable in, not necessarily what made Paris' runway at the start of this season. There was a time in the big city--while she was staying at her dad's--when Laney went through a rebellious phase, and acquired a small tattoo of angel wings on her ankle.
Likes: Outdoors; hiking, exploring, the rain Soccer; a pretty good player English; a bit of a nerd in fact Her laptop; rarely is without it Cooking; she makes a mean spaghetti bolognese Horror movies; the ridiculous aspects of them make her laugh Piano; classics, and her own compositions Adventure Interesting things or people that can occupy her time and make her laugh

Strengths: Good sense of humor Creativity Persistence Determination Open-minded
Weaknesses: Can sometimes have problems with expressing her own emotions Avoids confrontation Her perfectionism can have her break down Can be a tad illogical Too adventurous, getting herself in trouble Has a little bit of a temper
Habits: Bites her lip when she's nervous Has a tendency to slip out tiny white lies when she's trying to save someone's feelings Likes to climb and then move along things when she walks; logs, rocks, fences...etc
First Impressions: Depending on the situation, first impressions with Laney can vary from bad to good. That being her occasional mood swings can severely damage any future relationship with a person. She's a light animated character, but gives nothing away of her real past at first glance.
Personality: There have been few disasters in Laney's life, she's a bit of a simpleton, with the exception that her father has been 'finding himself' for a couple years now. Mostly Laney's bright and nice to have around, seeing as her buoyancy and infectious laugh seem to invade those in her company. She isn't afraid to stand up and dance in a packed movie theater, or leap onto stage and do the robot with the band front man. But like all people, she has her down-days, but when they come around, they really affect her. Laney seems to snap at everyone, has little patience for stupidity, and usually does things she regrets later on. Her mother used to call her a werewolf, but ever since Laney joined her in La Push, it all seemed to change. She's pretty ordinary, sometimes obsessing about infinitesimal notions, smiling and laughing at a lot of things. She plays sport, and isn't afraid to get down and roll in the mud. She's outdoorsy, one of the few things about La Push that she loves being the nature that flourishes around her. However, being the person she is, Laney does need to express her emotions somehow. She isn't one to usually express everything on the spot, the moment she feels it, but rather to bottle it all up, compress feeling on feeling until she pops. And there have been quite a few pops.
HISTORY
Life: Laney was born in Sydney, Australia to a young couple--their love child. However, this love didn't last too long. The flippant author and the anal mathematics teacher was a match that was never to last, and Laney soon found herself in a single mother household at the tender age of three. Yet, as she shot up through her single digit years, she didn't care in the least. When her mother met Nicholas--Nicky in those overheard, disturbingly romantic conversations--everything in Laney's logical world seemed to change. For one, their honeymoon was to last a whole entire year. The thirteen-year-old daughter of course didn't trust the step-dad, and found herself in tense debates with her mother, and pouting through the entire wedding. Laney made the announcement of her staying with her father in New York known shortly before her mother was to set sail--or rather, walk down the tunnel to the plane. There were complaints, but Laney herself boarded, destined to spend the next year in the least with her strict father. The strictness of course, only lasted about a fortnight. It had come to the end of the school break, and while her father had university classes to get back to, Laney had a new school, and a new city to adjust to. That city was brutal, and Laney became withdrawn, and rebellious. It was bad choice after bad choice for twelve months...and just when this impostor began to take control, Laney's mother called. She was back. In La Push, Washington. And she wanted her darling daughter with her. Laney ditched the piercings and late nights months before she was to go cross-country to La Push. This gave her enough time to settle back into the skin she had hidden so long before. Now, all bad happenings behind her, Laney is ready to explore La Push for every ounce of adventure there is.
Clique Info: Laney only moved to La Push a week ago, and is new to the area. Presently, she has no friends, and is yet to find herself comfortable in this new environment.

Example2: A clean slate, a new adventure; the frail whisper was inaudible as Laney's cracked lips formed the words. Her cerulean gaze flickered back momentarily. Her phase of rebellious freedom was fading away with each breath she took. That abnormally clean apartment was evaporating with each skyscraper that passed the musty coach set for her new home. One would think that a new start would bring nothing but bottomless hope and excitement to mind for a young woman who’d experienced all Laney had. But no, the mind of this girl presently did not consist of hope of the future, nor did it include the grief of the past. In fact, it was blank. A blank slate. A new start. A wayward strand of hair fell in front of her eyes, and she flicked her ample tresses, the sun catching in the russet mess. Laney bit down on her lower lip, she appeared the same girl. Her cerulean eyes still caught your breath, and her brow still furrowed when she pondered over matters deeply. But yet, she was different. Not just that she was older, no, this change was something that dove much deeper into the smooth surface of her skin. The bell buzzed, and a flustered woman bustled to the front of the coach, whipping this way and that in her haste, striking many passengers with her numerous travel bags. Laney glanced up as the bus doors flew open, strands of hair falling between her eyes once more. “Forks, Washington.” The echoing blur reached Laney’s ears before the woman slipped out into the street. As the bus doors closed, Laney looked away, occupying her attention with the landscape that passed by. Only a few more miles before she would leave the hot-aired atmosphere of the coach, and venture out into the peculiar town her smitten mother, and her step-dad Nicholas, resided in. She could swear that if that place was inhabited by psychotic country folk, she’d flee and live among the kangaroos in Australia. But, in a way, Laney felt that this place would be different. Different from the streets of Sydney, where Chinese tourists flocked every side street. Different from New York, where spikes and numerous piercings were as common as watches. This place would be different. How? Laney didn’t know. She just had a feeling. “La Push.” That was all Laney had to hear of the driver’s words before she sighed. She climbed to her feet, snatched up her tattered duffle bag to join the small line of people unboarding to enter this town. One step. Two step. Three step. Sidewalk. Her feet hit the concrete with a thud, and tucking her iPod into her back pocket, she glanced around. The overcast sky, the ever-present threat of rain, the hectares of woodland that stretched far out of the town’s boundaries...All of these were things Laney knew she could get used to. She cocked a solitary eyebrow. So this is La Push.
