Nickname: Em, Emma
Age: 19
BEAUTY
Hair Color: Blackish Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Overall Appearance:
Emily Katherine Young used to be pretty. This was a comment tossed around by many people and never seems to change. She wasn’t stunning, she wasn’t breathtaking, she wasn’t gorgeous; she was just pretty. This is how she used to like it to be quite honest and she wouldn’t have had it any other way. If she tried to make herself any of those other adjectives it would actually require her to spend some time on her appearance, not something she ever considered actually doing. She preferred to go au natural all the time instead of lathering her face with make-up and her hair just does what it wants once she’s run a brush through it so if she can be pretty without trying why should she bother to stand in front of a mirror for hours a day?
First matter to address would have to be the skin that stretches over her face and body. Mid-way between tanned and pale she has the complexion that has never managed to fail her. She drunk a lot of water and ate healthily as she was growing up and so her skin managed to avoid spots and acne. The health in the body giving her skin a natural softness and shine that is seen in the best of babies or adults as she now was. She has often disliked her skin because it has never been able to be touched with make-up, therefore she can do nothing to enhance it if ever she wanted to be truly beautiful. She once applied a slight amount of foundation and it brought her out in very unattractive hives, therefore proving that even though her skin could be weather beaten it is also very sensitive and will react with anything if not tested completely first on some other part of her body. Across her skin there is also a light dusting of freckles that she wishes every day that she could be rid of. From the bridge of her nose to her calves they scatter over her body like annoying brown flakes of paint. Oh how she wishes she could find a way to hide them, or merely make them disappear. Also on her face however are the marks that stop her from being seen as pretty conventionally. Running down her pale skin there is a trio of scars, caused by her werewolf fiancée when he lost control and transformed too near to her. One of them roams all the way down her arm, a constant reminder of why werewolfs are dangerous.
Her hair is one of the things that Emily hates and loves about the way she looks. Em knows she used to be a pretty girl but she does not like to flaunt it because of the faults she is forever finding in her appearance. Her hair is one of these faults. In her opinion it is either too bright, or too wavy or too straight. She is never quite happy with any of the styles she picks for it no matter how many times she goes to hair-salons and tries out something new. She’s been short, she’s been long, she’s been styled, she’s been curled and she’s been straight. But never has she found a look that really suits her better than any other. Now she has reached her adult years she can’t be bothered anymore and simply settles for having it trimmed into a simple shape and rounded off around her face. It is not uncommon to see her tug it all back into a high ponytail and just not touch it again for the rest of the day, strands will fall out and frame her face and this annoys her so they are often found tucked behind her ear constantly. She despises having her hair in her face when she is working so hides her glossy locks away until she needs them.
Her features are small and match her oval face well. Her eyes are two pools of very bright brown that darken even further when she is experiencing lust or passion. Her eyes have often been referred to as bog pits, they suck you in and it is a huge struggle to come back up again, like a siren’s eyes. Being in no ways a girly girl Emily never bothers with make-up because she simply has not got the time, or that is what she tells everyone anyway. Her lips are rather bigger than her other features but they fit her face. She has rather crooked teeth so she decides not to draw attention to her mouth. Emma is never one to throw herself in other people’s faces (unless she is angry) and so often dresses in clothes that make her fit in with a crowd. Her figure has gone though many different transactions. She is still annoyingly flat chested and she could pass off as a boy any day if she piled her hair up on the top of her head and put on a wig. Her figure is tiny in every way but everything is the right size for the rest of her body.

First Impressions: The first impressions of Emily Young are usually that of an intelligent, warm-hearted young woman that truly cares about all the wolves within the pack. She may also seem a bit of a push over at first sight, but the moment she opens her mouth this idea is dispelled amazingly quickly, because she’s not slow to think of witty comebacks, making her a sparky first impressionist.
Personality:
The first thing that most people are prone to noticing about Emily Young is that her temper should not be trifled with. It has often been passed around as a joke that her hair is simply the lava bubbling on top of a very active volcano and when she blows it might just fall out of her head. She makes no qualms about the fact that she does have a very fiery nature that when ignited can be quite terrifying to those who do not know how to calm her. Mostly her temper comes as a shock because it does not quite fit with the rest of her personality. Her anger and rage is almost always sparked for the same reason, her need to protect and stand up for those that she loves and or cares for. If you hurt one of her friends, or one of her loved ones then you had better duck because this little fireball will not stop her hunt until she has succeeded in reprimanding you someway or another. When she is in one of her moods she will never however reach for violence, even when she has blown a fuse Emily refuses to use her fists to get her own way. All her fighting is done with tongues.
One of the best known facts about Emily is that she has a heart that has an unlimited amount of love within it and she is more than ready to share that love with any that deserve it. It is her heart that would make her stand in front of a friend and give her life for them. It is her heart that would make her forgive those that have wronged her, well most of the time anyway. It has often been said that Emma is one of the kindest people around, that is until you cross her badly enough for her to close off and put you on her black list. Once this has happened it would be advisable to run to say the least. Em can be your best friend and your most loyal companion, or she can be your worst nightmare. Once you have been stricken from her good books her heart simply does not come into the equation, it will turn to stone against you and as her temper usually gets in the way she finds it very hard to forgive and forget if you have done something bad enough to cause her to shut off in the first place. This has only happened once or twice in her entire lifetime but as the world darkens around her it is becoming more and more likely it will occur on regular occasions now.
Intelligence. This has always been a part of Emily that she cannot deny or hide from others. A bright young woman with power that can often streak far past those around her. She was one of the best in her year, despite her ditzy ness and was always quite proud of the fact. Her mind was forever thinking things through and puzzling over problems until she found a solution at school and it still is most of the time. This however has lended to an issue that she is not sure how to escape; she can’t physically shut her brain off and just not think for a few moments of the day. This isn’t good when she is trying to sleep and often she finds herself rising from her bed in the middle of the night and wandering around her home to try and relax her senses enough to fall asleep. She has to think through every little detail of everything before she takes any step towards actually doing something and in the ever increasing danger she is forced to contend with this is slightly holding her back so Emily is working hard to stop her brain working overtime but is not quite succeeding as of yet.
When it comes to energy and fun there could be none more processing of this than Emily. She could give Tigger a run for his money with her bouncy nature and infectious laughter. Her eyes are probably the clearest indicator of this, as they always seem to be glimmering and bubbling with the smile that plays her pink lips. Emily’s entire aura buzzes with uncontrollable energy and happiness, but this can cause people to get the wrong idea about her. She has her down points, but she makes a conscious decision not to let them show. She hates to appear miserable because it would make her the same as everyone else at that point in time. Emma thinks there should be some sunshine and light in the world, even if it is only her that gives it. Even though there is a war raging and people she cares for are getting hurt, or even killed, she refuses to allow it to crush her spirit. Her determination has also been enhanced as her courage rises alongside all these thoughts and feelings. She wants to bring a few smiles back into the world, even if the smiling person might be dead the next day.
Amongst all the other qualities that make up Emily probably one of the most defined is her determination and her courage. It has often been said that if anyone were likely to throw himself or herself in the way of a curse for someone it would be Miss Young. People used to question why she was placed as brave, until she began to stand up to bullies twice her size for her friends and family. Emily’s determination has always been set solid in stone and there is no way to disregard it or try and beat it down, it is linked 100 percent to her spirit and her spirit is stronger than anything. She wants to prove to people that she’s not just a half-blood that can be squashed down as easily as the bullies would hope. She wants to stand out for her kind, to stand up for them and to prove that you don’t have to be big and butch to be a powerful man or woman.
HISTORY
Life:
Jennifer Hart was a quiet and shy young woman; much like her mother had been before her. With her bright red hair and deep brown eyes it seemed strange that she was so quiet, she drew a lot of attention after all, none of it wanted. It was one rather bitterly cold morning in October that she first met Marcus Young and at the time she barely even realised he was there, in fact she looked straight through him in her rush to get out of the cold, but he noticed her. Oh he noticed her indeed. Marcus was her complete opposite, loud, boisterous and full of energy he got plenty of female’s drawn his way but no matter how many woman he dated he could never find one that would make him want to tie himself down and produce some kids, they were all just people to enjoy the company of and then disregard. That was until a certain dark head he simply passed in the street struck him down. He tried to catch her eye but couldn’t no matter how hard he tried, she simply rushed past again and again, no matter how many times he walked so as to pass her in those days. Every morning was the same, he saw her on the way to work as she bustled into the building at night when she bustled out.
It took him three months of simply watching to actually get up the nerve to accidentally on purpose bump into her. She didn’t seem bothered and the moment she actually met his deep green eyes she stood stock still and could barely mutter a ‘sorry’. He felt the same now he actually had the chance to openly stare at her eyes. It didn’t take them long to snap out of it however and he asked her out for a drink to make up for banging into her. This was the start of a three-year relationship that in the end resulted in a very well congratulated and expected marriage to say the least. All their friends and family gathered to see the union of two people so very different but so very in love.
It was not long after their marriage that they brought their first child into the world. A little girl that they promptly named Poppy after Marcus’ favourite flower. The little babe was quiet enough and was perfectly… normal. That was the only word they could find to describe her, normal. She grew as all children did and appeared content most of the time, if a little lonely. It was after two years 3 months that Jennifer once more came to her husband and held up a little white stick with the word positive upon it. They had been trying for months to fall pregnant once again and it had finally happened, at exactly the right time for the sisters to be three years apart in age. The next child however was a little trickier than the first. At the first check-up the would-be parents were dealt a terrible blow, their child might not survive the term. It appeared that she was not progressing, as she should have been and this might lead to complications and maybe miscarriage, therefore they should prepare themselves for the worst because it was more than likely going to take place.
However this heartache was turned on its head when at the next check-in they were told the baby seemed to have sprouted, almost by magic. It was strange and no matter how hard they tried the doctors could not understand it at all, they just accepted it in the end and about six months later, after 17 hours of painful labour, on the 30th of January another little girl was brought into the Young’s family. There was much debate over what to call the child but soon they landed on the perfect name, the moment they saw her first, tiniest glimpse of a smile, Emily. The symbol of innocence and purity, and of beauty. For the first few years of her life she lived up to her name perfectly. Forever smiling and almost never disobeying her parents she flourished at play school and then went on through the school system, her intelligence beginning to show.
The family lived upon the Makka Reservation for the majority of her youth and she was happy there, very happy. Her cousin the Clearwater’s often visited and this broke up the year nicely as her childhood passed very uneventfully. She had her share of boyfriends when she reached puberty, but nothing that really stuck with her over the years. Her life carried on as if nothing would change, she would just carry on living on the Reservation and not be bothered with the world outside it’s walls. That was until her parents decided it was time for her to go and visit her cousins instead of the other way around. So with a bag packed and a smile on her, then, beautiful face she trundled down to La Push in her pick-up truck and met up with Leah. It was then that she heard the first story of Leah’s boyfriend Sam, and to it she only smiled, it was nice for her cousin to have someone who sounded so loyal.
It was a few days into her trip that the point of change, drastic change, occurred in her life. Leah introduced her to Sam and suddenly everything changed. Sam imprinted on her. Just like that. Suddenly she found herself the object of a desire that she didn’t understand, or want at that moment in time. All she could feel was guilt at the pain it meant Leah had to go through. She had been her cousin’s best friend for so many years, it wasn’t fair for her to take away somebody that Leah cared so much for. However over the time she just couldn’t take trying to tug away from a pull that was constantly on at her. The sheer level of love and devotion Sam showed her was hard to ignore and in the end she gave into the imprinting business, accepting his secret as he told it. However it was not all plain sailing from there. There was one instance when Sam lost his temper right next to her and she has three scars to show for it, literally. They lace her face, turning her mouth into a constant frown, it took away her beauty, but instead of her turning her back on him it was the other way around. She ended up comforting him. Now they’re going to get married… Wow things have changed from the first 18 or so years of her life.

It was a cold day as Emily Young bundled the coat she had grabbed on her way out closer to her body and continued with her walk. She had needed to escape the house for a while, as the tensions were running high between the wolves. The pack was having problems, a few more serious than others, and she wanted to leave them their space to talk it out between them without her putting in her two cents, because with the present situation they were trying to deal with it possibly wouldn’t have helped for her to chip in at the times she usually did. It was a Sunday and she knew in her head she should be in her kitchen preparing the meal for basically the entire pack, as she always had to, but she knew there would no cheery talk that night. Everyone was getting stressed as the situation over the borders got more and more dangerous and deadly.
When she thought of that present situation Emma could only shiver, because with it brought images of Sam lying dead because he went out to fight. Em didn’t know who she would cope if he was torn away from her. They had so many plans for a future together, they were getting married, and then they were going to settle down and raise a family. This was all that Emily wanted from life at that moment. She wanted Sam and all his pack brothers to be safe and happy down in La Push, and she hated those who threatened that dream. Such as every vampire on the earth who was against them. Emily didn’t much care for the coven, but as they posed no threat at that present moment she didn’t particularly dislike them. That was why she was happy to accept Bella into the fold, after Edward left and recently as Jake tried to win her heart. Her mind cast over those months of her life and shook her head. So many things had changed and been changed by those few months, and she wasn’t sure whether it had been for the better.
As she walked her eyes flicked around her surroundings and once more marvelled at the beauty she saw in the place. It truly was her home to her, even though she had lived there for barely a year. Ever since she gave into Sam she had moved down to La Push from her old home on the Makka Reservation, it just seemed more natural to be with him than to be with her family anymore. It was a strange feeling, to be so tied to another person that the thought of being away from them for any length of time left a bitter taste in the mouth and a rotting feeling in the stomach. She guessed this was what everyone in love felt but she did wonder sometimes if the imprint went even further than love. If it truly meant that one without the other would die, that was what she sometimes felt like when she was scared for Sam’s life, so basically every time he left her to go run around as a giant wolf.
Once more wrapping the coat around her tiny body she pulled up her hood and continued on along the cliffs. She knew that most people wouldn’t want to be up the cliffs on a cold day such as that, but for her it was refreshing. Emily loved to flex her legs after a long week of usually just buzzing around her house and making sure the fridge was stalked constantly with a terrifying amount of eggs and bacon. Laughing to herself at that thought she continued on her way, until a voice behind her back to yell her name.
