Much can’t be said for what Sophie did while Marcus was away. She had spent lazy days with Olivia, the pair went shopping and generally just spoiled themselves with Marcus’ money. Aria of course had came back the day that he left, which caused a lot of havoc for Sophie in particular seeing as how the brunette had an unknown vendetta against the red head. She could only attribute it to her place in Marcus’ bed, another jealous lover that was getting too out of hand. Though if Aria kept on with her antics, Sophie would mention something to Marcus about it. Right now though, she could handle a few minute headaches, but Marcus might suffer in the long run if she keeps on. It had been an hour or so since she had heard of his arrival, though she did not move from her spot. He’d be in his chambers eventually and there was no need to throw herself upon him like some ravaged dog. She would see him eventually, so she turned the page of the book she was holding in her hand with keen interest in its pages.
It was true that she had missed him to a degree. He had been gone for a few weeks and she had no one to play with for the entirety of that time. Sophie had learned long ago that if you had someone taking care of you, one did not venture to another’s bed and test fate. Marcus had often teased her with silly demands of no sex in the bedroom or castle while he was away, but she only took it in stride. Sophie wasn’t leaving his bed and she managed alone for the time he was gone. She couldn’t honestly call it fun or something she would like to do on a daily basis, but it wasn’t that hard to remain true to someone that had became her bread and butter over the months. She had scored a Volturi brother, and she did not want to lose him by fiddling with some other man that could not provide her with whatever means she required. Tilting her head to the clock, Sophie figured Marcus would be coming through the doors in any minute. She knew that everyone liked a bath after their travels so she started the water for him.
If anything, Sophie was trying to relax him enough to present her winnings for the wager she had going. She had finally figured out what she wanted, but knew it would be pulling teeth to get Marcus to agree to her demands. Though, truthfully she had won their bet fair and square, Marcus was still going to be highly reluctant to give into her thoughts of a new addition to his room. She wanted a cat. There was no reason in the world that she should want one side from the fact that she saw a beautiful white one in a magazine and her mind was made up then. She’d get the cat with or without his permission, but it would be nice for him to agree to it so it doesn’t cause problems later on. It’d take a lot of sweet talking and a few heated promises whispered into his ear from her lips, but she had no doubt in her talents to sway his heart one way or another. He had given her everything she wanted as it were, so what was one more thing?
Moving back to the bed, Sophie laid the book down and stretched her arms up to the ceiling. She’d been in one position way too long. The book was almost finished, so she had been laying there for a good few hours. Stretching one hand over her shoulder, Sophie rubbed her shoulder blade before throwing herself on the bed. She was bored and Olivia was out shopping and talking with some new male friend she had found, hoping he was rich. Sophie obviously couldn’t go with her, and though she wasn’t going to run down to Marcus she still wanted to see him. That was when she heard the familiar patter of footsteps on marble floor, forcing her to pick up her book and gaze at it once more. This time, however, she was not reading it to gain anything from it. Sophie just wanted to appear busy to a degree.
