STATISTICS
Full Name: Jasper Whitlock Hale
Nickname: Jazz, Jazzypants (only Alice is cute enough to get away with it though).
Your age now: 165
Your age when you were changed: 20
Power: Jasper can feel the emotions of other humans and vampires. If desired, or if not paying attention, Jasper can also change the emotions of others. When he's tired, or not paying attention he'll generally project whatever he's feeling into others. Often times people become depressed around Jasper...go figure.
Coven: Cullen clan, more importantly Alice. She’s the only one that really matters anyways.
BEAUTY
Hair Color: Honey Blonde-Hair is also long-ish, and hangs in eyes. Jasper doesn’t often take care of it, but he can’t pull off the look of casual disarray that Edward can. On Jasper it just looks like a mess.
Eye Color: Golden-but for how long? Jasper still craves human blood. His eyes are almost never closer to black than a dark golden color. Being that he’s now turned vegitarian, he doesn’t trust himself to go hungry. Too many humans. Too tempting.
Overall Appearance: Jasper is thin, and about a head taller than Alice. Being a vampire, it’s hard for him not to look as if he has muscles, because he does. However his are the thin wiry type. People often overlook the fact that Jasper is just as strong as his brothers…well, Edward at least. He’s not the type to flaunt it though. Jasper is no where near as fashion conscious as Alice is. If she told him to put on something designer made, he would, no questions asked, but he’s a simpler soul.
Furthermore, Jasper’s chest and arms are covered in scars. The scars were left on him by the teeth of the newborns he controlled for the first several years of his life. Few get to know him well enough to see this though. Only two people in the history of his life have.

First Impressions:
First impressions with Jasper aren’t anything striking. He’s the guy that sits in the back of the classroom, he’s the one that tags along with the beautiful Alice, the ‘twin brother’ to the infamous Rosalie Hale. But few actually know him. Jasper is often taken to be the beautiful, brooding type. The one the some long to know more about, but none actually do. He’s the mystery, the black sheep of the infamous Cullen clan.
Personality:
Jasper is a loner mostly. He doesn’t rely on the contact of anyone other than Alice. He’s the observer, the listener, possibly a shoulder to cry on. But only if he’s really comfortable with someone would he so much as offer any casual advice.
Jasper is often abnormally formal with people. He’s still partly stuck in the century he was born in. Jasper has a harder time adapting to the changing world than others do. Hence, he’s quiet. Jasper prefers to keep his mouth shut than risk exposing him, Alice, or the rest of the Cullens.
HISTORY
Life: In life Jasper was the stereotypical man of the 1850’s. He was formal, polite, and stuck to the status quo. He never longed to stand out, but somehow still managed to make everyone like him. Jasper always assumed it was because he did what people wanted him to. He stayed to the structure that society had laid out for everyone, and thus, was rewarded. He never realized that this was because he was special.
He courted a few women, had some friends, and was well liked when he actually tried to impress someone. Life was easy for him until he grew older, and the war broke out. The idea of some adventure was thrilling. Many guys his age felt the same way. Jasper lied about his age, and enrolled in the army. He quickly rose in the ranks, gaining power, and the excitement he had so long yearned for.
Afterlife: When he reached the rank of Major, Jasper met three women. Nettie, Lucy, and Maria. Maria changed him, intending to use him for her own purposes. After the natural pain of the change had passed, Jasper was put through tests by Maria. The only way to be rid of the torture was accept a commitment to her cause, to join her army. It didn’t take long before Jasper became terribly loyal to Maria. Though it was mostly out of fear. Jasper didn’t dare upset her, he didn’t want to fall from her good graces. So few were liked by her, and he was. But maybe that was only because of his power.
At one point in his past, his duties brought him to Italy, where Jasper had a small fling with a vampire he met there. This young vampire…young physically, though in reality the boy was a hundred years his senior. This was one of the two people in all of Jasper’s history that got to know him well. This boy was one of two people that Jasper has ever felt himself able to completely trust. While in Italy, Jasper managed to get on the bad side of most of the Volturi. One of the incidents that got him in such trouble ended up being the reason he lost his trust in the young male he met. His time away from Obion opened his eyes though. Jasper realized how tiring his life was. How unnecessary it was. He also realized their armies would fall to the Volturi.
With as much bad came out of his first and last trip to Italy, it saved his life.
Coven Info:
Alice is the axis upon which the world turns. She is the rising and setting sun. Alice is his world. Jasper abstains from human blood for her, he knows it is what she wants. Alice is the cheerful, upbeat creature that gives him a will to live. She saved him, and he will forever spend his life trying to make her understand that; make her realize how much he loves her.
Rosalie, his ‘twin sister’, as far as anyone knows the ‘Hale Twins’ are a lot alike. Both are quiet, both are beautiful. Keeping up the charade of being her brother has brought Jasper closer to Rosalie than he is to most of the other Cullens. She is the one Jasper knows best, and cares most for next to Alice. He understands her distain for this life, and greatly respects her for being able to abstain from blood the way she does, even if she is much younger than him.
Emmett is the big teddy bear of the family. At first sight, Jasper was rather intimidated by the burly male. For a while, he questioned Alice’s sanity, not fully understanding why she would chose this family for them to join. But she had seemed so terribly sure! It was only for Alice that Jasper gave Emmett a chance, and got to know him. Jasper and Emmett are polar opposites, but get along surprisingly well. Emmett is always fun to be around, always up for hunting. They are brothers in every sense, often fighting. Emmett brings out a side in Jasper that few get to see. Being around the largest Cullen is rather infectious. Jasper often picks up on his excitement for the simpler things in life.
Esme, sweet, beautiful, motherly. Jasper barely remembers his own mother any more. He never had many memories with the woman that birthed him. If Jasper ever looks back on his human life, he see’s Esme’s face smiling back at him. He see’s her cleaning up his scraped knee’s, taking care of him. It’s easy to imagine that he’s always known her, always been in her life, even if they had only been living together for a short while. He felt the same instant connection with Esme as he did with Alice.
Carlisle is truly an inspiration to Jasper. Carlisle gives Jasper something to work towards. Ever since the first day Jasper learned about his profession, he was in awe of this man. How any of their kind could have that kind of control boggled his mind. How anyone could cut open a human, and resist the temptation to feed made no sense. It gives him the will, the desire to refrain from humans as well. Just to prove that he can.
Edward is by far the brother Jasper is closest too. It’s hard not to get along with Edward. Edward is easy to get along with. After all, Edward always knows when he’s hungry, Edward knows when he, or someone else says something to offend him. Furthermore, Jasper knows Edward cares. It was easiest to open up to Edward when he first met the Cullen family. Emmett, and even Rosalie, just seemed far too intimidating to open up to right off. But not Edward. Though Jasper doesn’t feel nearly as close to Edward as he does Alice, Edward is Jasper’s best friend.
Isabella, though she may not be an official Cullen, is as much a part of his family as anyone. Jasper is glad to see Edward happy, in love. To feel the same connection between Edward and Bella as the one between him and Alice is refreshing. Perhaps it’s because of Edward that he already trusts her as much as he does. How can someone not love this girl when they understand the true depth of Edward’s feelings for her? From the beginning, Jasper knew she wasn’t going anywhere…he just didn’t flaunt this knowledge like some people did.

Jasper already knew he had to keep her. That knowledge brought this moment into a knew light for him. He no longer looked at it through the cautious eyes of a soldier. The voice of Maria now longer whispered in his ear to get himself out of there. Maria didn’t matter any more, nor did his history. The war was over. Jasper was still alive, and he’d found her. He could almost feel the depression rolling off his body like beads of water. The simple act of looking down into her smiling, crimson eyes made it difficult to remember the dark place he’d been in for so long. It was hard to remember anything, think about anything but the hope that was filling him.
Looking down into her smiling eyes when she giggled brought something strange to Jasper’s awareness. He could feel a connection between the two of them. The bond was so strong in both their minds that to Jasper it was as tangible as a rope bound around their bodies, holding them together. Jasper wished it was something he could let her feel, understand. But his power wasn’t strong enough to impress this upon her. But he knew he never could. It was strange to feel such a raw connection with someone. Jasper had never felt such an instant surety that someone would be so important in his life. No one else had ever made their way so fully into his heart with no more than a smile.
She lifted a hand, brushing a lock of hair from his face, while she glanced up at him with an unfathomable look in her eyes. Once more probing her with his powers, Jasper felt that connection. Curiously he moved along that bond between them, easing closer to the core of this tiny female, the heart of her emotions. The first thing that caught his attention was her curiosity. Usually when one was curious about something it was a very overpowering emotion. Usually it was more prominent. With Alice it was only on the surface. Beneath this curiosity was a surety. Something about this led Jasper to leave she spent little time asking questions. His eyebrows furrowed in question, and he withdrew himself from her heart. “Alice,” Was all she said.
“Jasper,” He responded. That was the first time he’d not introduced himself with his title in nearly a century. He’d always been Major Whitlock. Or Major Jasper Whitlock. He had always made a point of letting people know he was a member of the Anarchist army. But not now. Not with Alice. She deserved only the raw truth from him. He hadn’t a shred of a desire to deceive her. Jasper moved the hand holding his hat to the counter, and dropped it on an empty stretch. Once his hand was free, he moved the limb towards Alice’s cheek. One finger stretched out, brushing the length of her cheek softly. Jasper’s curious frown vanished at the touch. He had wanted dearly to do that since he first saw her. A smile once more touched his lips.
“I have so many questions…” He stated shortly, shaking his head, and moving his hand to once more pick his hat up. Where was he supposed to begin? There was no beginning to the vortex of questions in his mind. He could only dive in to it, but this wasn’t the place for that. Not in the company of so many humans. It wasn’t safe. Jasper looked quickly around them. Most eyes had left the pare, the people determinedly looking away felt almost embarrassed. But it wasn’t as if he and Alice had been fornicating in the middle of the floor. They had done nothing but look at each other, and state their names. Others turned away at his gaze, watching curiously out of the corner of their eyes (these were mostly females).
“Can we go somewhere else?” Jasper inquired in a low voice. He tightened his grip on her hand fractionally, and brushed his thumb across the back of it. His thumb stroked her soft cool flesh from knuckle to wrist then back. His eyes had fixed themselves back on hers, once more getting lost in their seemingly infinite depths.
