“Perfect copper skin, glistening black hair, eyelashes like feather dusters.”
Leah Clearwater possesses the traditional dark, physical attributes of the Quilette tribe, deriving from Native American ancestors. With an oval shaped face and slightly squared jaw, Leah sports a wide, full lipped smile which has been sighted more and more ever since her atonement with Sam and Emily. Thick, even brows rest above almond shaped eyes with shadowy bags beneath them, signifying Leah’s lack of proper sleep (due to her graveyard shift patrolling). The only trait not akin to her ethnicity is Leah’s nose, with is more flat and thin than it is broad and straight.
In the past, Leah often kept up with certain trends, but wasn’t as fashionable as Rosalie Hale, per se. These days, however, she has abandoned style in lieu of what is comfortable… and loose. Leah is often seen in a thin, summer dress or a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, barefoot unless in public, where she adorns flip flops. This is obviously due to the fact she is a wolf and therefore requires the ability to slip into her wolf form with ease, without having clothing to hamper her transformation.
Her voice is husky and low in pitch, and in the past was often accompanied with laughter. During her bout of depression after the death of her father and Sam-Emily love triangle, Leah was rather solemn and quiet, although these days her smile and laughter are beginning to return.
As a wolf, Leah is the smallest in the pack, with Seth even outdoing her in size. This gives her an advantage of speed, however, due to her lithe and nimble body, and many of her attacks are based off of agility and cleverness. Her coat is a mixture of shimmering shades of light grays and white, her muzzle longer and more slender than most other wolves.

First Impressions:
If someone were to see Leah at this point in her life, they might find a solemn, quiet girl dressed in almost as little attire as possible as the situation allows her. Regardless, she does not appear as tense as she used to, making it easy for people to approach her. While she won't actually make a first move herself (greeting wise), Leah will definitely, cordially respond although she might be a little uncomfortable. Because of her dying hermit like tendencies, Leah often becomes nervous when meeting new people, wondering how it had been so easy in the past. Once the initial awkwardness with conversation, however, Leah proves to be a very interesting, thoughtful young woman.
Personality:
In the past, Leah was a social butterfly. After her change (which, by itself, was disastrous), Leah became a recluse. For a while it was understandable. Sam had left her for her cousin, she and her brother had discovered their hidden ability, and her father had died because of it. It was natural for Leah to become so sensitive and silent. After a while, however, Leah became spiteful, taking out her anger and distraught on the pack while Seth put his to more productive uses. When she wasn't tormenting the pack as a wolf, Leah was ignoring them, shut away in her house or alone at the beach.
But Leah went through yet another change. It had been the day she was sitting at the base of the cliffs, when Sam made a surprising appearance and convinced Leah to cliff dive with him. During the entire process, Leah realized something. She didn't love Sam anymore. Not how she used to. The ordeal caused Leah to forgive Sam, and vice versa. Leah even rekindled with Emily. Ever since then, Leah has treated the rest of the pack tremendously different, avoiding vindictive thoughts and spiteful words. She still doesn't attempt to bond or befriend any of them, allowing them to approach her themselves.
While she may be somber, Leah can be quite spunky and competitive. She is always willing to fight Seth (or in one incident, a stray Newborn) to prove her strength and dominance, and can be quite the tomboy at times. In fact, Leah loves nature and the outdoors and spends most of her time engaging in some sort of activity or sport. Leah is still in touch with her feminine side, though she rarely shows it, and does enjoy going shopping or out with Emily every now and again.
Overall, behind the somber mask, Leah is a fierce lover and protector, kind, clever, and a good listener. She only needs time to recover.
HISTORY
Life:
I was inspired by the first Charlie applicant over at BT. Enjoy:
Leah was born in 1989. Soon she had a brother. Leah loved her family. Leah met Sam. They went out. Leah loved Sam. Leah's dad Henry died. Leah was sad for a long time. Leah changed into a wolf. Leah hated it. The end.
.... OK FINE.:
Born in April of 1989 to Sue and Henry Clearwater, Leah was the first child two years prior to her younger brother, Seth. She was not raised as a spoiled child, instead constantly following her father around the outdoors, learning the ways of the wild. Her family was not particularly religious, but Leah was always a spiritual woman, always feeling as though she were in touch with her ancestors through the bonfire myths and legends.
Leah grew to be a competitive girl, always challenging her brother, father, and neighborhood boys (including Jake and Sam) to sports and wrestling matches alike. Oftentimes she would win, even if Henry allowed it on purpose. Still, she was very social and made friends fast and was almost always busy with them.
Growing up, Leah always harbored a jealousy for Sam, the only person ever to really beat Leah at anything. It wasn't until high school (and the constant persistence of her cousin, Emily) did Leah see the boy in a new light. Soon, petty hatred blossomed into full fledged love, causing Sam and Leah to be the ideal, popular couple.
But toward the end of Sam's senior year in high school, he began to act strangely, often disappearing for days at a time. Rumors spread, often revolving around drug abuse, but Leah stuck to Sam's side, defending him and often going out to look for him herself. Finally, he reappeared and all was well again... mostly. Leah couldn't help but notice an inexplicable difference and Sam, but her happiness outweighed her suspicions. That is, until, he left Leah for her best friend and cousin, Emily.
It wasn't until her father's death did Leah understand why Sam "couldn't" love her anymore. It had been because of what Sam was. What Seth was. What Leah was. A werewolf. While the phenomenon had merely shocked Leah, the surprise had given her father a heart attack, which he died from. It was only when Leah discovered the truth behind the old legends did she stop blaming herself and blame the vampires which lured the wolf gene forth. All her life Leah had been open minded and accepting, but not this time. She hates the Cullen's and those who are like them or associate with them, which includes Bella. She also believes they should truly either die or leave Forks so as not to destroy anymore lives; werewolf and human alike.
Pack Info:
Leah basically feels the same way about everyone in the pack: tedious annoyance and a little bit of apologetic remorse. She feels bad for treating them the way she did (especially Embry and Sam), but finds that they can pester her a great deal. However, she can relate to Jake, seeing as how both have been through similar circumstances dealing with love, and when the day comes where he might want to talk to her- Leah will willingly comply. Other than that, Leah absolutely adores her little brother Seth, who she is incredibly protective over, and weary toward Sam, who she is steadily beginning to befriend again.
While Emily is not truly part of the pack, essentially she is. Leah loves Emily like a sister and wants nothing more than her cousin's forgiveness, wishing things to be how they were in the past.

Example2:
Leah felt that solstice could be found in even the most wild of places, and that included the ocean. Especially the ocean. She had always loved riding the waves, or even sitting at the shore as the salty froth bubbled over her feet before residing back into the ebb and flow.
Today was no different. A lot had been going on in Leah's life, mostly socialization. While it felt good to grow closer to new (and some old) people, Leah still had a sore spot to nurse. While this spot was well hidden, Leah would never be found brooding particularly over it. She didn't expect nor want pity, which was why she dished out so many vindictive thoughts and actions. It was her only way of protecting herself.
Despite this defensive urge, Leah was currently quite exposed. Clad in dark colored, fortunately thick wife beater and a pair of gym shorts, Leah had actually unexpectedly found herself at the shores today. Having been running in the woods as a wolf, the waves had seemingly sent her an invitation to join them. And she had obliged, finding herself at a beach the cliffs overlooked. She was actually a little reluctant to dress herself after changing, for even as a human her skin was almost burning hot. Knowing it would be unwise not to, she dressed and then proceeded to jump into the waves.
After a bit of body surfing and being crashed into the ocean floor, Leah managed to crawl onto a dull piece of rock that hosted a great view of the cliff. At first glance, the height of the cliff gave her an overwhelming sense of vertigo, which she responded to by gripping the edges of the barnacled rock. Leah had never jumped from the cliff before, though she had considered pushing Jake off a number of times. Leah was brave, but it took a lot of courage and daring to actually fling yourself from a cliff. There had been a few weak attempts on her part, but in the end Leah always decided on on swimming in the ocean rather than suicidally jumping into it.
Today, Leah was excited to spot someone actually determined to jump. Guessing it was probably one of her pack brothers (because who else would be crazy enough to do this? Besides some sort of suicidal girl named Bella Swan...), Leah glared against the sun to ensure it wasn't her little brother. Mrs. Clearwater had strictly prohibited Seth from cliff diving, and Leah couldn't agree more. While Seth could have easily survived the fall, Leah had absolutely no intentions of letting him make an attempt. It was an older sister thing, for sure.
A little squeal of apprehension and fear escaped her as the figure jumped from the cliff and flawlessly dove into the water. It wasn't until this said figure submerged did Leah recognize who it was.
Sam.
Leah felt her whole body growing numb and cold. When was the last time she had even been alone with Sam? No doubt it had been some time, for the memory eluded Leah. Suddenly conscious of every minute detail about herself, Leah drew her knees to her chest, hugging her legs. Sam would shortly spot her, she was sure, but in the meantime Leah planned to stubbornly sit on the ocean rock and pretend not to see him.
