Overall Appearance:
Before Katie phased for the first time she was frequently called 'bean-pole' and for obvious reasons, she was 5'10 and really scrawny. When she came back to school after a two week absence, her body had almost completely filled itself out. Now her 5'10 frame is covered in muscle and she's stronger than most guys in her grade. She has toned muscles, and often shows off a lot of skin, to blatantly advertise her womanly physique. She's proud of her body, and keeps it well in shape. Her skin is naturally pale, but she spends a lot of time in the sun, and therefore is usually rather tanned. Her dirty-blonde hair travels well past her shoulders, it's naturally kinky, but she curls or straightens her mane of hair almost every day.

First Impressions:
When Katie is around adults, she tends to behave a little better, therefore, the first impression of an adult is different than that from when someone Katie's age might meet her.
[ADULTS]
Katie comes across as nothing more than a sweet girl, who is 'destined to make something real out of herself'. (Whatever that means, eh?) Katie generally dresses a bit more conservatively around adults as well. Because Katie so easily manipulates people, often times, they don't get a chance to have a first impression, its easy to pretend to be the perfect daughter of a socialite, and she plays the part well.
[TEENS]
Around people her own age, Katie is a whole lot more open about herself. She's sophisticated, yet borders on skanky. She wears a lot of 'little' clothing and therefore sometimes comes off as a bit of a whore. She can be conceited too, and if you meet her on an off day, she comes off as quite the bitch. She has the reigns on her life, and this sometimes makes her seem controlling, which, is kind of true.
Personality:
Out of all things that Katie, loves, smiling is probably her favorite. She likes the feeling, how it looks, how nice it is when you recieve one, and how good it makes you feel when you surprise someone with one of your own. Katie always has lots of time to smile as she's always either a 'smart' drunk, or a happy drunk. Katie's probably so agreeable because of her sheltered childhood, but there are a few types of people she cant handle being around. Players for instance get a lot of the brunt of her frustrations. She's the meanest to them, because they remind her of the horrible things she does.
She can be rude, and rarely ever bites her tongue when it comes to snarky, sarcastic remarks. She loves to argue, and dislikes not getting the last word. She's more than agreeable to her parents and almost always does what they ask, which is why she agreed to move to Forks, even though she could have stayed in NY. Katie also tends to be really rude to teachers who are unfortunate enough to have the responsibility of teaching her either math or science.
HISTORY
Life:
[CHILDHOOD]
Katie Irwin was born to Roman Irwin and Kathryn Jameson. Her parents had dated frequently before Katie was concieved. Her father had fallen in love with her mother, and her mother had fallen in love too, but only with her fathers checkbook. Katie's mother was a gold-digger, and Roman was just a sweet middle-aged man who's first marriage hadn't worked out. He was looking for love, and was excited when he found Kathryn was pregnant. Kathryn was excited because it was her ticket to life with money.
Katie had an agreeable childhood. Both of her parents were very attatched to her, and Katie thus grew up in a loving environment. Katie had everything she'd ever wanted except her mothers full attention. Her mother had several affairs because she found out that money couldn't buy everything. Katie had no idea, but her father knew everything. Still, they're life was untouched and unchanging, Katie had a very stable home life.
[PRE-TEENS]
Katie spent her preteen years with very few friends. She went to a priviledged school, therefore her money couldn't buy her into the popular crowd. She was often called mean nicknames by her classmates due to her height. Several of her classmates also made digs into her home life by insinuating that her mother was a whore, sleeping with anyone who would have her. Because Katie had no idea of her mothers affairs, she tried to defend Kathryn's honour and her own, often resulting with her nose in the dirt.
It was about three months after her fifteenth birthday that she went through her change. One minute she was normal, and the next she was doubled over in pain, her parents figured it was the flu, but, no one could be sure. Katie spent four days in bed, and enjoyed her time off of school. Her parents bought her new clothing, because she'd grown out of her old ones due to her... growth during her sickness and sent her back to school.
Boys began to take notice of her and she couldn't help but enjoy it after being ignored and made fun of for so many years. She worked her way through nearly every boy in her grade. Systematically dating them for no more than three weeks, and dumping them. There were a few she regretted breaking up with, but her motive was clear to everyone around her, revenge.
[TEENS]
It took Katie a very long time to become comfortable with what she was, she eventually mastered it. Since there was no one around her that knew what was going on, she had to go about her wolfy business in secret, not letting even her parents know about what was going on, and why she kept having to go shopping. She certainly became a lot more comfortable in her own skin. Her gangly pre-teen days behind her completely, she began to shed clothing and flaunt her body for what it was; near perfection.
The 'men' in her life certainly took notice, and her father nearly had a heart attack when he realised she had not one but two tattoo's. Her shorts got shorter, and the hem line of her shirt climbed ever higher, all the time, she felt emptier and emptier inside. She began to develop simular feelings to that of her mother, who had finally come clean to her about her trysts. She began to flirt with practically any boy who crossed her path because she knew she could get what she wanted. She often got bored with the people around her and thus started skipping school.
She then made friends with a group of people who went to her privilledged high school, they were the alcoholics, hard core drinking practically every night. In fact, things got so bad, including her grades that her parents decided to uproot from New York and move to Washington.
Katie now lives in Forks, and she's up to the same trouble she was in before, only this time, she's smarter about it, more descreet. She has yet to discover the werewolves in the area, though she can smell them, the scent is unfamiliar, and therefore, she doesn't know what they are. She can smell the vampires however, and wonders why some people smell so bad. To her knowledge, vampires do not exist.

The sun wasn't even up yet, but there she lay under the covers, her arm steadied over her alarm clock, ready to catch it on the first beep. Her eyes kept darting from her outstretched fingers to the button on her alarm. Her foot was tapping impatiently underneath the covers she didn't need. She could hear the tiny gear in her alarm clock switch and a milliseond later, her alarms shrill cry could be heard throughout the dark depths of her bedroom. She tapped it lazily and heard the plastic crack. She muttered a small oops and walked across her room to the lightswitch beside her clostet door.
She flicked the switch and watched intently as a room full of designer clothing came into view. She skipped around the room gathering her clothing for the day and dressed after she'd closed her closet door. She wore a bright red sports bra and a white zipper-up hoodie. The was also wearing tiny spandex shorts that were from her cheerleading tryouts she'd never bothered going to. They were black shorts, and she assumed that once she started her morning ritual, they probably wouldn't cover her whole bottom.
She strapped a watch on her left wrist, jogged down the stairs to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of water and popped a waffle in the toaster. While her breakfast was cooking, she slipped on her favorite pair of thongs, which were bright blue and picked her car keys off of the hook. By the time she padded back into the kitchen her waffle popped out of the toaster right into her waiting hand. She smirked at the inatimate object on her counter and made her way to the front door. It was a short drive to La Push's 'First Beach'. Another girl that lived in the area had told her a week or so ago. Katie still hadn't been here for very long and since when she met most of the people that lived in the area, she was intoxicated... She did even think she could name three people she had talked to since being here.
When her bright white pick-up pulled into the gravel lot for the beach she had already finished her breakfast. She took the door key off of her key ring, locked her truck and slipped the key between her breasts. She couldn't stand the jingling sound, not even when she tried to drown it out with her ipod, which she turned on now. She had one of those arm band things that the ipod got wrapped into. 'love love love' by Lenny Kravitz filled her ear drums and resounded through her head, even though the volume was set very low. As she began running at a human-like pace down the beach she thought about how lucky she was to be one of the only werewolves that still existed.
She hadn't been watching, she hadn't been thinking, and because of her stamina, she had barely been breathing. She wasn't sure what the guys excuse was, but she was sure this hadn't been her fault. She had crashed and tumbled to the sand. She could see how his foot tracks had veered in her direction the closer he had gotten to her. She lay there panting on the sand and slowly she lifted her head. She looked at him, he was laying carelessly on the sand, actually, she wondered if maybe she had hit him to hard, he looked a little loopy, maybe she gave him a concussion... His head raised after a bit, and she regretted staying there as long as she had.
He smelt good, he looked good and as she stood up, she took in just how tall he was, height was something she found endearing in men, considering her own height, but as soon as he spoke, she wished he hadn't. His words barely registered, but she noticed how stupid they were. She raised a brow at him and reached down by his hand to grab her ipod. "I'm not helping you up, by the way..." practically as soon as the words left her lips she regretted saying them, she'd love to take his hand, but she had her honour to maintain... she might see him around, if he was lucky. She stepped over him and made her way to her truck but, when she went to grab her key, it wasn't where it should have been.
