Personality:
Ever since she was a child, Heather has been quiet. She grew up, mostly keeping to herself and staying cooped up in her family's apartment in order to avoid social situations. Only her close family as in her older brother, Sean and her parents really know her. They're just about the only ones who have ever heard her speak without stuttering.
Heather has extreme trust issues that go back to when she lived in New York with her family. And that one instance, a year ago somewhat takes the blame for her actions now. She wasn't always as quiet as she is now, and it's sometimes hard for her to believe that she was more outgoing.
HISTORY
Life:
Heather Jane Conner was born on a cool Spring morning to Olivia and Donald Conner. The couple had already been blessed with a son, Sean, who was thrilled ot have a baby sister to play with. From birth, Heather was a little more shy than her brother was, but her parent's thought it was cute, adorable even. But as Heather grew older, the shyness only came to be a pain in the neck.
For her seventh birthday, Donald Conner bought his daughter a drawing set and it was as if the stars alligned. Heather was naturally gifted with the pencil and paper. And soon, she found that drawing became her way of expression. It was the only way that she was able to communicate and show how she was truly feeling. She was able to put so much emotion into her drawings, that it became all she needed.
In the summer of her sixteenth year, her father and one of his bussiness friends arranged for Heather and the man's son to go out together on a date. Heather made her opinion on the matter clear--that of pure distaste--but it didn't matter to them. The boy took her out with a promise of dinner and a movie, but took her to a raving party instead. There, he violated her, and then left, leaving her to take a cab home. She didn't tell any of her family about the happenings, because quite frankly, she didn't think any of them would believe her.
The family had been living in New York City when ehr father got a job transfer. He worked for a large coorperate company, and his boss offered him a large raise if the family packed up and moved across the country to Washington. And so they did.
When they arrived, Heather didn't exactly know what to make of the small town they'd settled in. She had to get her driving liscence, there was no public transportation like in NYC, and she wasn't exactly the best driver. As of now, she is still getting unpacked from the move and adjusting to life in rainy Forks.

Example2:
The rain was heavy, beating down ruthlessly on the windshield as the Conner family drove into town. Heather's face was leaned up against the glass, watching as the trees whipped by, a blur of green mush to her eyes. Her brother, Sean, sat beside her, his headphones in his ears, not paying attention. Her mother sat in the passenger seat, reading a copy of the New York Times she'd insisted on getting before they departed the city thet all knew so well.
Her father was focused on the road and an oldies station was playing 'Jailhouse Rock' faintly in the backround. The rain was more powerful than the strength and vibrato of Elvis' velvety voice.
"Home sweet home!" her father announced as he pulled the family car to a stop in front of the place that would be their house. Heather pulled the hood of her jacket up over her head silently and grabbed her drawing supplies before exiting the car. She jogged up the sidewalk and entered the virtually empty building. Her shoes squished against the floor as she walked up the stairs to check out all of the rooms.
It appeared that the movers had already brought the load with her things in it because the first room she entered had her bed assembled in the middle of the room, the sheets lost somewhere in an unmarked box.
She placed her things on the hardwood floor before jumping onto the bed, her feet dangling over the edge while her face burried itself in the mattress. The rain continued to pound against the roof now and she could hear her parents talking happily downstairs. She, on the other hand, just wanted to be left alone to sulk in this rainy anti-eden.
